Halloween is history as the season for Chocolate takes over. This is the place to sample and buy your chocolate for the coming Holiday Season. Each of our participating chocolatiers, chocolate artisans, pastry chefs and confectioners are on hand to introduce you to their amazing products and creations. From bean to bar, from cocao to creation, this is the place to get your ideas for entertaining “chocolate-style” this season.
This interactive feature is always a crowd pleaser that gets visitors cheering and chowing down on chocolate. From wrapped chocolates to cake to cookie stacking, we’re here to have fun. Register at the show and see if your stomach can enjoy what your eyes are looking to devour. There is a limit to the number of people that may register to compete. Rules at registration desk inside the show floor.
Doctor Kerry Beal, “The Chocolate Doctor”, will show you how to prepare chocolate goodies using Cacao Barry chocolate. FREE Classes will run in 40 minute intervals downstairs, entrance from South Lobby. Look for signs guiding you to this feature in the South Lobby where you must register to attend on a first come first serve basis. Each class is limited to approximately 35 people.
Watch the artistry of top chocolatiers demonstrate how to make truffles and chocolate creations from scratch — effortlessly and affordably. Demonstrations will run every hour during the show from noon to 5 pm. See schedule posted at side of stage.
Chocolate + Wine pairing tables will be located on the upper pods of Roy Thomson Hall. Having the right wine to complement the right chocolate can be a match made in heaven! Sample wine and chocolate together. Samplings are available by ticket purchase.
What chocolate goes with what wine? Here you can sample wines with the chocolate that tastes best as a pairing with sampling tickets. THE WINE LADIES will be hosting scheduled Wine + Chocolate Pairing sessions throughout the day. Register at the bottom of stairs to pods in the South Lobby.
Must be 19 years of age to enter this section and sample products.
You can get the experience of being an artisan chocolatier by creating your own personalized 1/4 chocolate bar in either dark, milk or white chocolate. From start to finish the folks at Old Time Confections will show you hands-on step by step instructions in creating a chocolate masterpiece.
Fine Artist Nisreen Askar will guide visitors of all ages through the process of using a palette of chocolate to paint some interesting art pieces.
For a small donation, you can help Bridge The Gap for Sickkids. The Chocolate Tales Team will guide you in helping build one of several bridges made from Chocolate. All participants will be sent a certificate of participation and support along with the judges standings for their creation.
Every visitor to the Toronto Chocolate Show will have the chance to draw from the Wonka Wheel. This is your chance to find one of 6 GOLDEN TICKETS for a chauffeured trip to visit a secret Chocolate Factory. There will also be other prizes to be won.
